The Playable Promotions Of Deadpool & Wolverine (Feat. Deadpool)

Summer 2024 is the time of hailing Deadpool and Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the newly released film they have finally debuted dynamically together [11]. Aside from two suggestively designed Xbox Series X|S controllers based on Deadpool and Wolverine’s rears, there are a few other gaming-related promotions. Aside from how I personally believe that Deadpool & Wolverine is going to be one of the highest-grossing films of 2024 besides Inside Out 2 as its goal to make thirty-five-million dollars from the Thursday night preview showings is a sign of that theory [12] [36] [72], I see some good from each of these following promotions for players. After being creeped out by the 20^th anniversary celebration of the Salad Fingersseries [19], being cuted out by a new wave of mini Helluva Boss plushies [32], seeing a sign of Shadow the Hedgehog’s side of the story in the forthcoming remaster of Sonic Generations and tittering at Jack Sparrow being chased in a cinematic short [21] [69], we shall discuss the promotional events in Marvel Snap, Marvel Strike Force and Marvel Future Fights [46] [47] [48] [56] [60] [61 along with their appearances near the fourth season of the fifth chapter of Fortnite: Battle Royale [26] [34].

"The Deadster is back on the big screen, y’all [11] [40] [43]! During another shoulder massage session to help Laura relax after the hard work she put into her fifth article on marketing antics of my new movie [76], I whispered to her seductively in my Ryan Reynolds voice, “Laurapop, the article we did is awesome, but we missed the opportunity to mention my domination and diner in Marvel Snap [50] [56] [57] [59], my pool party in Marvel Strike Force and the update in Marvel Future Fights [46] [47] [48] [61]. Don’t get stressed out over it though, my candy crumpet. We can discuss them in a separate article for your gaming-related blog. I’m proud of you, Princess.”. What? I gotta keep her motivated without overworking her, don’t I? I let her take a break,so that she can do a pretty cool manicure inspired by Logan and I before getting her ass back to work.” [60]

“And c’mon, reader! Laura’s not THAT obsessed with me if you know what I mean [8] [68]! I’m still a coping mechanism for her and if you have a problem with that, screw you and damn you! Oh wait. We gotta remain professional when it comes to video game journalism. Not that it has always been with notorious examples of infamy like “Too much water!” and hit pieces that were pretty uncalled for [39], but please understand that my little Laurapop works hard and tries her best! Trust me, I know from experience in working with her [75] [78] [83], yet I still need to discipline her as she still tends to tease me about my “tastes” in green suits and music [9]. Currently, I’m gonna have to discipline those who spill spoilers without making disclaimers first [41]. And now, keep scrolling for all the information she provides!“ [43]

I am quite starstruck at the animated promo for the Deadpool Domination event in Marvel Snap [56]. It is bewildering to see a half-naked Wade furiously questioning the whereabouts of his trailer and attacking the television quite ballistically as another Wade in a noticeably different art style hosts what appears to be an advertisement in his own cooking show. At least Wolverine showed up to tell the half-naked Wade to calm down. Of course, this is not the first time I have been amazed at the manly mutate in an excellently animated Marvel Snap promo starring Deadpool as the drastically changing art styles of him, Ghost Rider and Squirrel Girl within the announcement of the game becoming available on PC nearly a year ago [58] [82]. Moreover, the Deadpool in a similar style to the animation in Cuphead makes a cameo in the Deadpool Domination promo as a bachelor in a dating show [56] [58] [82]. And who can forget Jeffy’s adorable cameo too? Kudos to ItsGuestGaming for explaining how to play Deadpool’s Diner, a new mode that is only around for a limited time as it will be concluded on the 6^th of August but is still another interesting way to help promote the frenemies’ debut in the MCU [11] [49] [54] [55].

“Laura’s probably thinking, ‘Wow. And I thought Bruce Banner had anger issues…[62]”. Well, at least my mask didn’t turn green when I was being animated [9] [56]. Aaaaaand I just contradicted myself as the Hulk on Twitter…or X if you consider it like a goddamn, no good, dirty ex-spouse [76].” [56]

“Shout-out to Miss Gwenpool for being featured as well [56]! Look at all the neat new card variants [51] [52] [53]! Copycat looks fine on hers [60]! How many bubs did you get if you have participated in the temporary mode yet [57] [59], reader? Be sure to tune into the Deadpool League event and Jeff Week throughout this August [49]!” [50] [60]

Deadpool’s MCU suit and Wolverine’s MCU suit have appeared in a new update for Marvel Future Fights that was showcased in a livestream a few days ago [45] [48]. The frenemies are classified as Tier-4 warriors [47]. Since Cassandra Nova is one of the antagonists of Deadpool & Wolverine, she is a Tier-3 villain in the update [46] [47]. Oh my! Another version of Wade from another universe with a face and hair as elegantly manly as Thor’s is known as “Handsomepool” and kind of brings on a Handsome Squidward vibe if you love SpongeBob SquarePants memes [38] [48]. And let us not forget about Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Jubilee and Dazzler as participants [47], yet I believe that Warhead’s is the most valid as she has been a supporting role in the Deadpool films since the first one [9] [10]. I recall the update that promoted the merc’s Nerdy 30^th back in 2021 which featured him in a black mafia suit and its white counterpart [75] [78]. This year, an update for the game is a pretty swell way to promote the merc’s well-served threequel as he has been a competent fighter in Marvel games since his appearance in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance back in 2005 [29].

“Don’t even think about it hitting on the writer of the article you have been mentioned in, Handsomepool! She’s MY little Laurapop! Go and find your own in your own universe! Oh, alright! We can share her. I’ll let you kiss her hand…while Ryan happily sits on my face [37].” [48]

The masked rascal has a pool party with some of his co-stars, including his daughter Deathpool in Marvel Strike Force that, unfortunately, gets crashed by Juggernaut [61]. Another guest at the crashed pool party is Pandapool who treats himself to an ice cream resembling the main merc’s mask. And yes, it is not another gaming-related promotion for Deadpool & Wolverine without Logan [11]. Just like in Marvel Future Fights, Handsomepool is a brand-new fighter who (obviously) has a similar skill in wielding katanas [48] [61]. The promo for an update for Marvel Strike Force promoting Deadpool & Wolverine is quite a rehash of the advert for the game that also promoted the Super Duper cut of Deadpool 2 [1] [61]. Perhaps if there were to be a video game (possibly developed by Insomniac Games) starring Deadpool for the PlayStation 5 with a much more effective plot after the success of Wolverine’s upcoming game [32] [81], Deathpool could be a new supporting character and gain some depth beyond being a fighter in Marvel Strike Force as she aims to follow her father’s footsteps [83]. As for Handsomepool, he will probably tell a version of me from his own universe to call him [48] [61].

“Yeah, yeah. Go ahead and accuse me of being jealous of Handsomepool [48]. As for Pandapool, he’s pretty cool [61]. I’m still proud of my deathly baby girl on the left [83]! She’s not gonna believe that I finally met THE Mario from those video games and Wolverine slayed some oversized turtle’s ass [16]!” [61]

Shortly after our newly bloomed infatuations with Marvel’s merc with a mouth in a new Tim Hortons advert and two new popcorn buckets promoting his new movie co-starring his frenemy at Cinemark [66] [76], a few signs of him wreaking havoc in the world of Fortnite for the second time popped up on its official Twitter/X account [23] [24] [25] [27]. A short clip of a specific location featured a voice that sounded a lot like Ryan Reynolds, much to my surprise and suspicion [23]. Two days later, the skins of the two healable antiheroes in a new style that looks cel-shaded and is referred to as “Pen & Ink” were revealed [26] [34] [67], which makes their returns to Fortnite: Battle Royale even fresher aside from them wearing their MCU suits [11]. Even though it is understandable to declare that Fortnite’s over-reliance on crossovers has affected its originality [21], I would still love to see Lara Croft, the beauty, brawn and brains of the Tomb Raider franchise appear in the world of Fortnite for the second time in her outfit from Rise of the Tomb Raider in the next chapter or two [70] [84]. In the meantime, a Fortnite fighter can also train with Lloyd from The LEGO Ninjago Movie in LEGO Islands if they have unlocked the Battle Area map with the revealed code as Wolverine remains his usual hard-nosed and brutal self in his third appearance [28] [71].

“I’m quite an artist [23], aren’t I? Wolvie and I can also be played as in Fortnite Festival and Rocket Racing [34]! I bet you can’t wait for our next round in Battle Royale [30]! Look how awesome we look as Youtooz figures and how cute we are as Funko POP! figures too [44] [86]! Hopefully, I won’t have to use a magazine as toilet paper this time…or will I [20]?” [23]

In conclusion, these four promotions are more proof of the marketing of Deadpool & Wolverine being the red and yellow equivalent of the ambitious marketing of Barbie: The Movie from last year [11] [50] [79]. I suspect that the possible appearances of Wade and Logan in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Call of Duty: Warzone 3.0 and Call of Duty Warzone Mobile that have been speculated to occur have been delayed to currently let our comrades focus more on certain stars of WWE making an appearance, most notably Rhea Ripley, especially for fans of WWE [2] [6] [77]. In the meantime, we can reflect on how spectacular the drone show dedicated to Deadpool & Wolverine at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con was and hail the new glittery Lady Deadpool Funko Pop! figure [41] [63]. Aside from how delighted I will be to see Deadpool & Wolverine with my fiancé after a four-year wait [76], I strongly believe that the manly mutate’s video game from 2013 and 2015 deserves a reboot that maintains its credibility in terms of gameplay and humour but provides the core reason why he is a jokester in the first place within a much more effective storyline sometime after the launch and reception of Wolverine’s upcoming game [32] [64] [78] [81]. Four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles In Fortnite

Cowabunga, dudes and dudettes! 2023 was a wild year for TMNT with the release of their new cinematic origin known as “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” and some crossovers in Fall Guys, Minecraft, and Street Fighter 6 [16] [18] [22] [23]! In the first half of 2024, the heroism of Leonardo, the leader, Raphael, the tough guy, Donatello, the genius and Michelangelo, the party animal is welcomed to the world of Fortnite [6] [7] [9]. But before that, it was confirmed that there might be an even bigger crossover in Fortnite with various Disney stars after a deal was made between Disney and Epic Games [5]. Yes, Fortnite: Battle Royale may have been given some flak for overreliance on crossover events and some have made less sense than others [31], but I still sense some potential in a crossover with TMNT as iconic as they are and there have been some crossovers in Fortnite: Battle Royale that were quite memorable to me and many others. As Disney devotees dive into the sixth season of Disney Speedstorm [15] [32], let us sharpen our katanas in preparation to kick some bad guy butt and rock and roll with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles [6] [7] [9]!

Very interesting auditory choice in the cinematic trailer inspired by Dynamite Dance, an animated short starring Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd if you ask me [7] [26]. Reflecting on last year’s crossovers [27] [28] [29], some of us have suspected a collaboration with Fortnite would occur eventually [6] [7] [9]. [7]

And as always, Master Splinter and April O’Neil deserve the praise they get for their supporting roles throughout the years [18] [23]. [6]

During the new event, the turtles appear in three modes; Fortnite: Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite Festival [6] [9]. In all honestly, as overdone a crossover in Fortnite: Battle Royale has been [31] [33] [34] [35], their mightiness in the gameplay is the most faithful to their legacy and would lead to some pretty interesting battles with skins of guest stars from previous events unlocked by fellow Fortnite fighters [6] [9], such as Spider-Man, Deadpool, Kratos, Nathan Drake and Peter Griffin [3] [8] [31] [34] [35]. They and their master look pretty neat in LEGO forms in LEGO Fortnite and it would be interesting to see them strive through a survival sandbox quest [6] [9] [31], which might as well apply to Lara Croft alongside another appearance in Fortnite: Battle Royale in a future event [33]. The concept of the turtles in a band with Master Splinter and April O’Neil brought into action in Fortnite Festival looks quite like a mod in Guitar Hero World Tour: Definitive Edition [6] [9] [11], leading me to wonder who could appear in the mode inspired by the likes of the Guitar Hero series next [31]. Of course, there is nothing wrong with a video game franchise wanting to try something new, even if a new mode would be too dissimilar for a Fortnite fighter’s tastes.

Perhaps the next crossover in Fortnite Festival can feature the interpretation of Barbie from the live-action feminist phenomena that made over a billion dollars at the box office as the team behind its effects recently won the BizBash award for “Best TV or Film Premiere Event” and a collaboration in Fortnite Festival this Summer can honour the film’s first anniversary and the Barbie franchise’s 65^th anniversary [1] [2] [10] [21] [30]. On second thought, if a stake in Epic Games did not get acquired by Disney [5], that would be possible later this year. [6]

Considering how many crossovers there have been throughout the chapters and seasons of Fortnite: Battle Royale, it is understandable why the four noble turtles’ adventures in three Fortnite games are not as surprising as those who feel quite overwhelmed by the reliance on so many crossovers to stay hip [6] [7] [9] [31]. Nonetheless, some originally can always peep from the sewers of production as the animated series that is a spin-off of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem titled “Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” will premiere on Paramount+ the Summer after the premiere of Knuckles on the same streaming platform this April [12] [17]. As for the turtles’ special guest appearances in Fortnite: Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite Festival [6] [7] [9], they are sure to help some gamers come out of their shells (that hopefully have not been jumped on by a red-hatted plumber or his brother) until near the end of this month [6] [13] [14]. In the meantime, the goal is the collect Ooze to gain items through the Free Rewards Track [6], so try your best if you consider yourself a fan of TMNT, Fortnite fighter! Anyone for pizza later?

Whether the game based on the comic book miniseries known as “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin” will be sadly cancelled or not [19] [20] [25], let us hope for the best for the innocent people affected by the hackers and the job losses within the uproar in the gaming industry last year and the beginning of this one [20] [32].
