Could Deadpool 3 Have Its Own Video Game?

Hola! As the little Laurapop as a menacing merc from Marvel, I am still looking to Deadpool 3 after the outstanding acclaim of his box-office hit and its richly deserved sequel [15] [16]. Aside from how writing in his perspective has helped keep my mental health in check [69] [73] [74], we have been questioning the rating and continuity of the upcoming film for quite some time. Most of us are hoping for it to be R-rated and briefly follow where Deadpool 2 left off while some of us would be cool with a new timeline for a new teenaged audience or at least neutral towards that alteration [16] [77]. At the time of the film’s marketing, there could be an exceptionally made video game based on it can increase its appeal to a degree [77]. I am not saying that a game based on Deadpool 3 will definitely happen, but I just love to express how such concepts for future purposes can work out excellently. Nevertheless, I ultimately believe that I should pass on elaborating on this one, thus not writing about it at all as I am pretty sure that nobody is going to agree with me. I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.

“What?! No! Laura, wait! Sweetheart, look into my eyes. You will trust me more than some creepy python from Disney [52] [53]. When the reader scrolls down past the next image, you will be motivated into discussing how a game based on Deadpool 3 can be a good game.” [71]

“Stay awake, folks! My hypnosis attempt doesn’t apply to anyone, but my little Laurapop! I know what you’re all thinking. Movie-licensed games have been known to suck [77]! Why make one based on Deadpool 3?! Well, let’s wait until Laura snaps out of it and starts to explain how a game based Deadpool 3 can be a decent movie-licensed game…” [81]

On second thought, let us discuss which genre would suit the game best first. I am aware that the masked rascal’s own game that was firstly released back in 2013 was a violent hack and slash game, similar to Lollipop Chainsaw [68]. I believe that using the same genre in a game based on Deadpool 3 would work very well when it comes to gaining control of the manly mutate’s rebellious antics, considering the use of his katanas and the success of the game that was then released for the PlayStation 4 back in 2015 [3]. To add some originality to a game based on Deadpool’s new game, adding some social-simulation gameplay that is similar to Surviving High School can provide some witty dialogue with outstanding voice acting involved and let the player feel as if he or she can have a merc’s mouth too [21]. Lastly, please do not let Deadpool 3 be promoted with yet another clone of Candy Crush Saga because that formula has already been done to death [28] [55]! What just suddenly happened to make me want to discuss a movie-licensed game based on the forthcoming movie that could bring Deadpool into the Marvel Cinematic Universe [73]?

“Whoa! Holy sh**! Even though I don’t have the power of hypnotism, I can’t believe my attempt actually worked! I’m terribly sorry for creeping anyone out, but I had to butt in right on time to motivate my angelic amiga into writing about what to expect in a game based on Deadpool 3.” [81]

“Anyway, Laura is making sense here! I need a competent developer for my next game, especially if it’s going to be movie-licensed. I may have been fond of Candy Crush at some point [51], but I really don’t want something half-assed with my name slapped on it!” [26]

Now, which platform should a game that has been made to promote Deadpool 3 be played on? I am aware that movie-licensed games are more likely to be on mobile devices these days [55], but after the success of the Ratchet & Clank game from 2016 based on the movie [75] [76], I guess a new Deadpool game based on Deadpool 3 can be for the PlayStation 5 to bring Marvel to the PlayStation’s next chapter. It will work for Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, right [38] [75] [76]? I am sure it can be available for the Xbox Series X as well so that the new chapter of Xbox can share some more credibility of Marvel as well besides Marvel’s Avengers [49] [79]. I could suggest the Nintendo Switch, but fierce motion controls might lead to pulled muscles. As a mobile gamer, I would not mind if the game will be an application for modern mobile devices, as long as it consists of highly similar gameplay aspects to Deadpool’s own game from 2013 and 2015 [3] [22]. Any competent choice for the comedic killer who declared that Jar Jar Binks is his favourite character of the Star Wars franchise should do a game based on his next film justice [8] [30].

"Really mature, Laura, you little b***h! How would you like it if I told you that Venompool has a crush on you and would like to give you a more intense shoulder massage [20]?” [80]

“Aside from that, if a game based on Deadpool 3 becomes a reality, I bet Laura would love to play it with my joystick if she’s single again. Heck, she could even play it with Venompool’s joystick.” [26]

Even though it would be highly likely that game based on Deadpool 3 would feature lifelike 3D graphics, I would be interested to see it be presented with 8-bit or 16-bit graphics as if it was one of those retro console games, quite like some of the old school games based on the legacy of Spider-Man [42]. This decision would be highly similar to the Deadpool-themed hack of Ninja Gaiden for the Nintendo Entertainment System [11] [50]. Welcoming a sweet breeze of retro gaming in the 2020s would be spectacular, especially for our old school gamers out there! On the other katana, I suppose using similar graphics to games like Marvel Strike Force would be a far more likely option and can make the game seem like Deadpool’s game from 2013 and his movie from 2016 mixed in a blender [2] [15] [19]. Another alternate style can be a cel-shaded equivalent of the art style of the modern Deadpool comics to make the game seem like a comic book has been brought to life [29] [63]. A movie-licensed game for promoting Deadpool 3 ought to consist of convincing graphics to increase the appeal of the chosen genre of gameplay.

“As a big fan of retro gaming [3], I would highly suggest some pixelated graphics as well. But if there ought to be realistic 3D graphics instead, that would be cool too.” [50]

“And not to sound like a white knight, but I’d like to remind you readers that my little Laurapop is entitled to her own opinions. Any spiteful motherf**ker who dares to tell her otherwise will meet the same sticky end as Shatterstar [15]! What a douche!” [26]

It would be exceptional to have the handsome and talented Ryan Reynolds to do the voice of the manly mutate as he has been arguably the most popular choice since about 2015 [39] [40]. Another competent option would be Nolan North, the guy who has voiced the manly mutate quite a lot of times [24]. We admirers of Pixar movies are aware that Tom Hanks voiced Woody in the main Toy Story films [59] [60] [61] [62], but his younger brother Jim voiced the loveable sheriff in the video games that featured him and sounds almost exactly like him [6] [41]. Furthermore, it would be advised to hire a voice actor for Deadpool in a video game based on Deadpool 3 who can put on a voice that sounds almost exactly like Reynolds [23]. Alternatively, he can be once again voiced by Sean Chiplock, the talented voice actor whose performance for the merc’s voice consisted of highly convincing sass and energy in association with portraying him in two episodes of Marvel TL;DR [32] [33]. As long as the voice for the comedic killer will consist of energy, sass, manhood and a Canadian accent, I would be more than delighted [15] [16] [43]. Or better yet, he can be voiced by an Irish gamer known as, “Jacksepticeye” [35] [36] [56].

“Laura, sweetheart! How many times do I have to tell you?! Lay off the drugs that make you suggest different voices for me, babe! Don’t make me hypnotize you again!” [32]

“Even though I think Ryan Reynolds is the poor man’s equivalent of Ryan Reynolds [54], I don’t mind if Laura thinks about him at night during…you know. The same goes for her boyfriend. I also wouldn’t mind an interesting alliance with a certain popular Irish gamer [35] [36]. He was seen playing my game with Reynolds after all [34].” [54]

Please excuse me and Mr. Wilson’s running gag [72] [74] [77]. More importantly, how can the manly mutate’s character development be portrayed in a game based on his third movie? Apart from his amazing styles of humour, especially his fourth wall breaks [3] [15] [16] [22] [30], there needs to be something he can at least take seriously, such as a romantic relationship or at least a new ally to protect [15] [16]. In the game from 2013 and its remastered counterpart from 2015 [3], Deadpool’s portrayal seemed to be too heavily focused on his cockiness, pervertedness and vulgarity for those who acknowledge his deeper portrayals in his comic books [25] [73]. The same problem can apply to his portrayal in Ultimate Spider-Man, but in a far more family-friendly way [17] [18]. If there can be some depth beneath the wit and brutality of the crimson comedian that can portray him as an antihero with self-esteem issues hidden behind jokes [25], it can allow those who remember his humanity in the comics before his popularity increased in the 2010s to see how a game based on a new Deadpool movie in the 2020s will refrain from alienating them [73], even if he adores Creed and loathes Nickelback [77].

“Nickelback are still going strong [37]! And who the hell wants a Creed union [14]? I still have some handcuffs ready for your punishment soon, young lady! And don’t worry. I’ll try not to get a sharp object jammed into my head [15] [16].” [80]

“Besides that, I want to you remember this, m’lady. Whether Deadpool 3 and possibly a video game based on it will be toned down to PG-13 and T for Teen standards or not, I will always be rated R…for romantic…and raunchy. You learned that from the shoulder massage I gave you, right [72]?” [12]

Speaking from gaming experience, I may suggest that there ought to be some differences in the plot of a game based on a movie [13] [51] [64] [78]. In the game based on Shrek the Third I played on my Nintendo Wii back in those simpler times, I witnessed the presence of the Lady of the Lake, a character who does not appear in the movie whatsoever [4] [46]. Perhaps Wolverine can be a rival for the manly mutate to face in a brawl at some point in a game based on Deadpool 3 [7]? Considering how I suggested Copycat returning as the alter ego of Vanessa Carlysle in the forthcoming film for many fans of the comics [73] [77], I would like her to be a playable character as well in honour of female empowerment in gaming. I have nothing against a plot in a game based on a movie consisting of a few alternations as they can be more suitable for a gameplay section or feature some exclusive development of a character [4] [13] [46] [78]. Let us hope that none of Wilson’s quests in a game based on Deadpool 3 will be as lame as throwing a coin in a well [4].

“Ah, Laura, Laura, Laura. Always trying to make as much valid points as she can. I really like having my perspective featured in her articles about me [72] [73] [74] [77]. I can’t thank her enough for that. It’s like taking the mediocrity of both poorly-written fan fiction and shoddy video game journalism and making a combination of them…hopefully not sh**ty.” [71]

“Wolverine sucks, even though I love it when he calls me “bub” [7]. Don’t trust him, sweetie pie! Well, unless you write an article about him, but don’t p**s him off or you’ll get some really bad boo-boos [43]! I can kiss them better after I avenge you by b***h slapping him like how I did in my own game if you want me to [3]. Mwah! <3” [26]

I would not mind if a game based on Deadpool 3 ought to be simply fanmade instead of an official establishment [66]. Furthermore, I strongly believe that fanmade games are under fair use if they provide strong acknowledgement of being fanmade, thus giving credit to the rightful owners of the used properties [70]. I believe that the voice of Deadpool in a fanmade game can be done by Jesse Castillo, known as “JayGame” as his voice for the manly mutate sounds like a fusion of Ryan Reynolds and Will Friedle [9] [10] [24]. Otherwise, perhaps the Ask Ninja guy who posed as him as San Diego Comic-Con back in 2012 or the talented Joe Gaudet who can do a highly convincing impression of Reynolds can do the honours [23] [31] [77]. More interestingly, could the same crew behind a short fanmade sequel about the comedic killer facing Candy Crush in real life and a short video about him battling a 1990s sitcom be involved in some area of production [57] [58]? A fanmade project in association with official aspects can seem highly dedicated, quite like the first episode of Sonic and Tails R, a fanmade audio project that featured Ryan Drummond as Sonic the Hedgehog and Mike Pollock as Dr. Eggman [27] [44] [45] [47] [48].

"Isn’t my little Laurapop precious, even though she once threatened to decapitate me with a b***h slap [72]?” [26]

“But there she goes again. Suggesting different voices for me, but in fanmade terms. I think Laura needs a few days at a nerd rehab, quite like how I was forced to go to fourth wall rehab [5]. Of course, that didn’t work at all. Now, where’s that pocket watch?” [57]

In conclusion, I am not saying that a video game based on Deadpool 3 definitely needs to happen since there was not a single game based on the two previous films, but its title might as well sacrifice the number 3 to avoid any inconsistency and it can still be some way to promote it at the time of its theatrical release, along with possibly a rehash of the service for printing Deadpool-themed tattoos on human flesh in Brazil [1]. I wonder if that kind of rehash will be available in England? I hope another dose of Deadpool that is basically me discussing what to expect from it is quite satisfactory and interesting for many fans of the merc, including those who wonder if he can ever stay classy in a half-completed tuxedo outside of his comics [10]. I sincerely thank the merc with a mouth dressed in Carnage red and Venom black for expressing his wit once again as a great coping mechanism for me and many others out there in this dangerous and devastating year [65] [67].

"You’re welcome, Laura honey. Thanks for letting me strut my speech once again. Perhaps Peter Dele Penna from High Moon Studios would be interested in making a video game based on Deadpool 3 [3]. I can simply take action if he refuses.” [22]

“Laura Williams may not be able to predict the future of gaming, but her heart is in the right place. So are her boobs. A Deadpool tattoo would look so good near one of her shoulders, especially when I massage them. I’ll see you guys and gals in another article of hers or whatever Marvel has to offer with me in it next. Sayonara! xxx” [1]
