Race With Birdo In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass This Spring

The night after Sonic Colours Ultimate became available on Steam [39], I was sure to tune into this year’s Nintendo Direct event after joining a livestream featuring gameplay footage of Deadpool in Marvel’s Midnight Suns as part of its first DLC pack [18] [19] [21]. To my surprise, Birdo, also known as “Birdetta” becoming a playable character in the forthcoming fourth wave of paid DLC in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was revealed alongside the announcements of Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon and the physical version of Metroid Prime Remastered being released this March, Fashion Dreamer being released later this year and the two waves of paid DLC for Splatoon 3 being released at different times that could be in the same year [31] [32]. This is great news for those Mario Kart racers who adore Birdo and respectfully see her as Nintendo’s transgender icon but are not fond of Mario Kart Tour’s greediness [1] [7]. Tighten your red bows because we shall steer through the potential of one of the new courses in the fourth wave and predict who else will join the roster later this year as we are still hyped for The Super Mario Bros. Movie coming this April [6] [42] [43] [44].
Speaking of Deadpool and Sonic the Hedgehog, I am not sure how Wade Wilson will react to the portrayal of Wolverine in the fourth episode of the ninth season of Sonic For Hire [11] [12]. Let us keep it clean for discussing Birdo’s return to the tracks in the fourth wave of the Booster Course Pass though! [31]
The brand new course revealed for the Fruit Cup or the Boomerang Cup is based on Yoshi’s Island [31] [32], which makes sense for Birdo to be featured in the trailer for the fourth wave as she was Yoshi’s default partner in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! [25]. In the first three waves of DLC in the Booster Course Pass, my favourite remastered courses from the previous instalments would be Peach Gardens from Mario Kart DS in the Moon Cup, Coconut Mall from Mario Kart Wii and Paris Promenade from Mario Kart Tour in the Golden Dash Cup, Sky-High Sundae and Mushroom Gorge from Mario Kart Wii in the Propeller Cup and London Loop in the Rock Cup [26] [47]. And there is the remaster of Toad’s Circuit in the Golden Dash Cup, which was some Nintendo nerds’ “favourite” track in Mario Kart 7 [9] [10] [22]. In either the Fruit Cup or the Boomerang Cup [47], the new Yoshi’s Island course seems like a nice competitive getaway full of vibrance for all the Nintendo nerds to forget about the troubles they may be having outside of the world of gaming, but I doubt that there will be much tranquillity [31] [32], especially when a Spiny Shell is launched at the racer in the lead [39]. 
As much as I adore racing as my homegirl Princess Peach, I admire the idea of an extended range of cups to compete in. [47]
Considering that there is a big balloon that resembles Yellow Toad in Toad Circuit [22], how about we move on to discussing what other characters could be added to the roster when the fifth and sixth waves come out? [47]


Just like Yoshi and Shy Guy, Birdo will be playable in several colours, including blue, red, and yellow [23] [24] [31] [32]. Could other new some other new racers in the roster when the fifth and sixth waves come out [47]? I still believe Honey Queen from Mario Kart 7 deserves a second chance as she would result in the return of the purple Peach Parasol [22]. The lovely and eventually empowered Pauline ought to become a racer in the main Mario Kart series, considering that she debuted as a racer in Mario Kart Tour and was also given the opportunities to be a golfer and a tennis player [49] [53] [56] [58] [59]. Perhaps Blue Toad and Yellow Toad can be alternate costumes for Toad [28]. All seven of the adorable Sprixie Princesses from Super Mario 3D World can make their debut as racers, but as one character with seven alternate costumes [29] [50]. Why not let Dixie Kong make her debut as a racer as well [8]? As bewildering as it is to see Donkey Kong encounter Mario in his Cat Suit in the latest preview of The Super Mario Bros. Movie [60], it is quite enlightening to see Birdo return to make up for her absence in Mario Kart 8 [23] [24] [31] [32]. 
Pauline is amazing, isn’t she? It would be pretty insane if the roster in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe would eventually be as big as the number of racers in Moped Mayhem, one of the unlockable minigames in the Extras Zone from Mario Party 8 [27] [48]…but less is more sometimes. [49]
The green Sprixie Princess was an unlockable player In Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash [50]. Why not let her and the other six princesses be playable in either the fifth or sixth wave of DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe [47]? [50]


And now, back to the racetracks! What brand new courses and remakes of other courses from the previous games could be in the Feather Cup, the Cherry Cup, Acorn Cup and the Spiny Cup [47]? There could be new circuits based on New Donk City, Fossil Falls and Tostarena from Super Mario Odyssey and a circuit based on the enchanting open world of Hyrule from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild since Link has been part of the Mario Kart 8 roster since the DLC he was part of back in 2015 [14] [23] [51]. There will probably be some more courses that debuted in Mario Kart Tour, including Vancouver Velocity and Los Angeles Laps [15] [17]. The Mario Kart series has come a long way since Super Mario Karton the SNES, so nostalgic courses like Bowser Castle 1 and Koopa Beach 1 ought to be remastered as well [45] [46]. I would love to see gorgeous remasters of Daisy Circuit from the Star Cup in Mario Kart Wii and Peach Circuit from the Mushroom Cup in Mario Kart: Super Circuit [16] [26]. At the moment, there are a lot of possibilities for the final three waves of the Booster Course Pass aside from Birdo racing through the Yoshi’s Island course [47].

Speaking of hype, my fellow hazbeans who have been disappointed in the second season of Helluva Boss so far can look forward to the official French dub of the first episode of the first season from the wonderfully dedicated Hazbin Hotel French Dub team [3] [5]. No bias against fanmade foreign dubs intended [4]. And speaking of Hell, it is highly likely that Venom will be the next downloadable warrior after he is released from his demonic possession in Marvel’s Midnight Suns [18] [54] [55]. As for Nintendo, could there be a LEGO Wario figure with a new starter course revealed later this year [57]? Will Magolor gain his powers back in a new epilogue in Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe [32]? Until then, fellow gamers. Have a nerdy Valentine’s Day and let your gaming cred shine like Birdo’s diamond ring [2] [27] [37] [60] [61]!
Lastly, what new costumes could any of our beloved friends and frenemies wear after the debut of two Shy Guys as explorers in the Exploration Tour in Mario Kart Tour [13] [30]? Why not feature Peach in her biker outfit with a helmet in a tour for promoting The Super Mario Bros. Movie [44]? Stay rad, Nintendo nerds! [44]

What Would Be Another Ideal Date For Gamers?

Calling all gamers in love over a week before Valentine’s Day! Last year, we discussed what could be an ideal date for two players in a special relationship, such as raiding a tomb for treasure as archaeologists and being a plumber and a princess in a zany super world [119] [120]. Video games may not be real, but there is nothing wrong with being imaginative and putting yourself in a playable protagonist’s shoes, although not all of them wear shoes. Aside from the appetite for two caterpillar cakes named “Collin” and “Connie” for the season of love and affection [54], how about we give each nerdy couple some ideas for another Valentine’s date [48]? The madness had already started with Deadpool back in January. Besides, he took over the promotional again a week before he became a downloadable fighter for Marvel’s Midnight Suns [42] [43] [44] [45] [46]. A new idea for an ideal date for a gamer could be staring blankly as if your valentine was a vampire whose skin sparkles in sunlight [1]. But then again, maybe not. Arguably much better ideas can make up for those awkwardly dramatic breakups in Club Penguin back in the day [26], along with how cart surfing would not be a recommendable activity in real life to this day [20] [36]. 

I have come a long way since I played the first ten of the educational CD Rom game series known as “Learning Land” when I was a child [69] [78] [79]. Now I know what my name sounds like [28]. I also wonder if there will be some new colours for the Nintendo Switch Lite and the Playdate later this year [108]. But for this week, let us be hopelessly romantic and nerdy a few days after the return of the deep pink Xbox Series X/S controller [121]. [58]

Last time, we discussed inspiration from the Super Mario franchise first [119] [120]. Why not gain some ideas from The Legend of Zelda this year? Just call me “Little Miss Valentine” if you are a Nintendo nerd [50] [103]! Link, the hero of Hyrule is, without a doubt, the ideal significant other for Princess Zelda [104]. Surely, whether the relationship is canon or not depends on what timeline each instalment follows, but it is still iconic to many Nintendo nerds and seemingly a lot more developed than the relationship between Mario and Princess Peach in the Super Mario franchise [73] [104] [119] [120]. But still, whether your OTP (One True Pairing) is canon or not, please do not be toxic with your devotion to it [108]. Who knows how further the relationship between Link and Zelda will bloom in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild that shall be released this May [60]? If you and your valentine are fans of the Legend of Zeldafranchise, one of you could be the brave Link and the other can be Zelda or any of her alter-egos [122]. How about a kiss from your valentine for luck [7]?

My reader, these dating ideas could be what imaginative gamers strive for [7]. [74]

Have you dated about eight people throughout your love life? Feel free to fight foes with your current partner if you are a fan of Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World [33] [100] [101], whether you have read the graphic novels or watched the live-action film based on them [71] [72]. I remember playing the original version of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game for the PlayStation 3 with a dear old friend of mine who recommend the film it is loosely based on back in the early 2010s [33] [100]. Over ten years later, I was delighted to play Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game – Complete Edition for the Nintendo Switch with my fiancé [59] [101]. He and I like to play as Scott Pilgrim and Ramona Flowers, which is convenient as they are in a relationship throughout the plot [72] [100] [101]. The sprite of Romana with blue hair vaguely reminds me of the Blue Amy Rose trend from 2018 [29]. Moreover, her sprite with pink hair and her mallet-wielding make her quite comparable to Amy [17]. Do the terms “Speedy the Porcupine” and “Never-ending Fantasy” sound familiar to you [100] [101]? When it is your current sweetheart versus the world, you can take your rage out on all seven of your exes [33] [72]. 

To an extent, my old creepypasta fan phase must have been jealous of my current hazbean phase for a few years [52] [53]. Consider Sonic.EXE an evil ex of mine [39] [63]. Aside from that, Deadpool might as well use both the Power of Love AND the Power of Self-Respect since he is skilled in wielding two katanas [15] [16] [71] [72]. [33]

 Heart Star is an adorable puzzle game about a blue-haired boy who can summon blue star blocks and a pink-haired girl who can activate pink heart blocks [2] [3] [4]. The design of the girl in the pink hearts realm vaguely reminds me of Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time who kissed Marceline the Vampire Queen in the series finale [5] [12] [70] [73]. Since the boy in the blue stars realm has hair quite like Mordecai’s feathers in Regular Show, could he have once pretended that an aeroplane was like a shooting star for the sake of making a wish [47] [114] [115]? I fondly remember being infatuated with the game’s concept and how engaging the challenging puzzles are as I played the remastered version on my iPad after my second university semester and during the Christmas break back in 2018 [4]. It is possible that the two friends in parallel worlds are crushing on one another. Whether you and your significant other follow the “blue for a boy and pink for a girl” trope or not [99], you can reunite and rejoice on a platform, colliding two worlds together into one world of a specific colour and symbol [4]. Just watch out for the spikes!

Stardew Valley is, without a doubt, a masterpiece for the casual crowd inspired by the Harvest Moon series [13]. Not only can your avatar run a farm and do a variety of activates, such as fishing, but he, she or they can also find true love and get married, like in The Sims and Tomodachi Life [57] [90]. Speaking of marriage, could a guest attend your wedding in a Kirby tuxedo [37]? The list of bachelors with the potential to be a husband includes:

It is speculated that Haunted Chocolatier, the forthcoming successor to Stardew Valley with a different setting will feature marriage to an NPC, along with having a child with them or suddenly getting a divorce [30]. This, along with many other features from Stardew Valley would make it an exceptional successor [13]. Which bachelor or bachelorette in the game could you strongly relate to when the game is released [75]?

Here is another one for the simmers in love. The Sims FreePlay is still going strong with new events, even after its tenth anniversary in late 2021 and how it has the most boring woohoo in the history of The Sims [25] [87] [88]. After all, neither should be allowed when it comes to ensuring that a gameplay experience is free from toxicity. Whether you have a valentine this year or not, you can always treat yourself to some heart-shaped chocolate or a Valentine’s Day-themed doughnut during the gameplay [54]. Moreover, you can still be kind to your fellow gamers and wish them the best if they happen to be in a relationship, even after Valentine’s Day.

Even if you are single, you can root for your OTPs in your favourite franchises and even make some Valentine’s Day-themed fanart of them if you are an artist [11], but again, do not go overboard with supporting them by being a fanbrat [107]. The same activity can apply to establishing canon romances between your own fictional characters [96] [97]. Too bad Red seems to have left his female counterpart for The Lamb [6] [14]. [6]

I will be sure to make the most of another Valentine’s Day with my fiancé who is a big video game collector. In his new yellow suit with a wizard hat and a garlic necklace [41], Deadpool might as well go on a hot date after he crashed Cinderella’s latest ball on Friday the 13th [109], which could lead some of her demonic minions sneaking into the abbey solely for the new food truck [42]. Speaking of antiheroes being chaotic, I am sure that I could be charmed by a new episode of the second season of Helluva Boss after the LVL UP EXPO events in Las Vegas [11] [32] [35], despite the show’s decline in viewership [31]. It does not take a love meter to find true love, even though some fans of Betty Boop got a thrill out of one back in 2011 [9]. As for your ideal gaming-related date, perhaps some cosplaying can be involved, depending on the date of destiny you choose to play [56]. It is entirely up to you. Whether you have a disability or not, you deserve to be in a happy and healthy relationship or cherish the independence of being single and be able to achieve what you want to achieve [81]. Have a nerdy Valentine’s Day [34] [76]! And again, please roleplay responsibly [118] [119].
