Some Cartoonish Crazes For Gaming In Late 2022

Our fellow Mortal Kombat warriors are feeling feisty in honour of the 30th anniversary of the Mortal Kombat franchise, our Nintendo nerds are looking forward to The Super Mario Bros. Movie in 2023 after watching its highly promising and bewildering teaser trailer and our Pac-players and Sonic supporters in Japan will be pumped for a collaboration between Pac-Man and Sonic the Hedgehog for the matches between Sun Rockers Shibuya and Shimane Susanoo Magic later this month [30] [39] [48] [49] [65] [66]. As an admirer of cartoons and video games, I am bewildered and thrilled at the insane amount of cartoonish craze in gaming this month and this November. And yes, there is more outside of gaming, including a girls’ night out in honour of the twenty-first anniversary of the Bratz franchise and two Barbies for the price of one in the second season of Barbie and Barbie: It Takes Two on Netflix [2] [3] [4]. I may no longer consider myself a creepypasta crusader [58], but I am still up for feeling the thrill of celebrating Halloween. Before bracing yourself for a few tricks and some treats this Halloween, brace yourself for a few highlights of some new cartoonish crazes in gaming! 

And not to mention that Luigi in a brand new chef outfit has an appetite for winning in the Battle Tour in Mario Kart Tour [13] [21]. Speaking of appetite, some of our Crash Bandicoot fans were hungry for a surprise from Aku Aku’s Steam-In Pizza Shack in honour of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time becoming available on Steam in a few days [5] [35] [50]. [13]

Another collaboration between Sonic the Hedgehog and Monster Hunter will be the blue speedster in his two new Halloween costumes [16] [18] [41] [44]. One of them kind of makes him look like a member of a tribe, similar to the tribe of echidnas from the live-action films he starred in [45] [46]. They may be quite suitable for the Halloween season, but they will be part of free DLC after the release of Sonic Frontiers in late November [16] [18] [44]. This will be quite like how he cosplayed as Link in the Legend of Zelda DLC pack for the Wii U version of Sonic Lost World that was released back in 2014 [38] [43]. It was way past cool enough that a subscription to the newsletter will provide the option to forge frontiers in the soap shoes from Sonic Adventure 2 and another DLC pack will provide a pair of shoes and matching gloves themed after Inugami Korone [36] [37]. Sonic is a rather fashionable guy, isn’t he? At least that is what my teenage self would say. Aside from strong hopes for the best outcome of Sonic Frontiers possible, be on the lookout for Metal Blur Trail and Fake Metal Knuckles in the current event in Sonic Speed Simulator [42]!

Splatoon 3 began a new chapter of artistic chaos caused by young humanoids with squid-like features [28]. To boost the third chapter’s street cred even further, a new wave of amiibos will be released this November [27]. The first figure is an octaling with indigo tentacles styled in octolocks in a crouching position. The second figure is of the inkling with yellow tentacles that consist of a braid. The third figure is a smallfry leaping from a splash of turquoise ink like a Cheep Cheep [22], which will hopefully not subtract fifty points [23]. All three figures can provide data consisting of fixed arrangements, including fixed controls, an inkling’s gear and Freshest Fits all chosen by the player [27]. And yes, there is no doubt that they will unlock some exclusive attire, just like the previous waves of Splatoon amiibo figures with Splatoon and Splatoon 2 [12]. I am sure that many screenshots with the characters the upcoming figures are based on will look rather snappy [27]. These three new amiibo figures will be part of a sixth wave of Splatoon amiibo next month. In the meantime, our fellow Monster High fans will rise for the Frankenstein Monster and his beloved bride for this Hallotine’s Day [17] [62].

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is so close to being released [25]. There is a lot of hope for Rayman’s return to 3D in a DLC pack for it to be meaningful [51], especially when it comes to the limbless wonder’s portrayal not being a rehash of how out-of-character he was in the Wii version of Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party [53]. He ought to hurl his fists at foes, fly with his helicopter hair and be the noble adventurer he was in Rayman 2: The Great Escape [32] [52]. Furthermore, he could perhaps somewhat progress from his careless and rowdy nature in Rayman Origins [52], but still be witty with a cherished sense of humour and a little childish at times to maintain his charm as a heroic adventure with no limbs. I wonder how well he will get along with Rabbid Rosalina, who is often rather lazy [26]. More importantly, we strongly hope that new working conditions in all Ubisoft headquarters will assure that there will be no more sexual abuse towards any employees after the exposure back in 2020 if they wish for an enlightening definition of “UbiForward” [1] [22] [51]. That goes for Activision Blizzard too [8] [9] [10]. 

The abuse against the employees at Ubisoft and Activision Blizzard was devastating to hear about [1] [8] [9] [22]. My heart goes out to those affected by such depravity behind the scenes to this day. As excited as we are to see Rayman in 3D again very soon [51], we still need to assure that hard-working employees in game development studios will be safe from toxicity and endangerment [46]. [51]

More moments of cartoon craze to discover in late 2022 include the newly launched console port of Trash Sailors and the B.B.s who are born to travel in the brand new LOL Surprise! Game [29] [31]. Additionally, there will be more to be starstruck by, such as the forthcoming physical retail edition and deluxe collector’s edition of Cuphead that is currently available to preorder [24] [64]. There are also new cartoon crazes to look forward to outside of gaming, including a new episode of Helluva Boss that may be released this Halloween, just like “Murder Family” and “Ozzie’s” [14] [15]. With new amiibo figures dedicated to Splatoon 3 [26], Rayman’s return to 3D in DLC [51], an adventure on Starfall Islands that awaits Sonic and more [34] [63] [64], there is quite a lot to keep us pumped within our proactivity as gamers, journalists and content creators as we also continue to be kind and thoughtful to one another [54], especially after many of us have a fourth vaccination against COVID-19 to save lives [59]. Moreover, our Disney devotees can do some deep breathing with Baymax to maintain mindfulness as he was there for them during lockdowns [6] [7]. I will always look forward to new gaming experiences with my fellow players, whether I regret becoming active on Twitter again or not [60]. 

I would look for fun in the third season of The Cuphead Show, despite another dash of heebie-jeebies [19]. How about a Happy 5th Anniversary wish for my first-ever Article that was on the trailer for Mario Party: The Top 100 [61]? [67]
