Moves To Be Made In The Sims 4 This Summer Of Love

How are you?” [34]. 2024 marks the 20^th anniversary of The Sims 2 and the 10^thanniversary of The Sims 4 [6] [8]. Previously, there was a “Sensation” season that resulted in a stuff pack, four differently themed kits and an SDX drop from January to April alongside the celebration of the series’ 24^th anniversary that might as well continue throughout the rest of the year [20] [26] [27] [28] [33]. The Sims 4 just keeps getting more and more ambitious as new surprises await my fellow simmers from May to August [29] [31]. Moreover, the newly announced season is referred to as a “love” season, which makes many fellow simmers and I suspect that there is a romantic theme the surprises have been following during their developments. This could be quite a sensation for you if you feel like you have the Romance Aspiration from The Sims 2 [1] [6]. After the unforgettable encounters of the northern lights that starstruck the world (except for Seymour Skinner’s kitchen) for three nights in a row [15] [18] [21] [36], let us gussy up for what will bloom throughout the season of love during the tenth year of the Sims 4 era [29] [31]. 

I have been a simmer ever since my grandfather introduced me to The Sims 2 [6] [37]. It is interesting to see how far the series has come since the first game that was launched back in 2000 [37]. Its 24th anniversary shall progress with a season of love as Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary continues to bloom with a new café in Vancouver [12] [13] [27] [28]. [31]

First of all, two free updates will be available for the game [29] [31]. According to the trailer, they are likely to include new outfits, hairstyles, and accessories in Create-A-Sim. But of course, it would technically be more important to bust any detected bugs when it comes to updates. Secondly, two new destination kits are confirmed, making me believe that they will be build kits inspired by many aspects of a city that is considered a romantic place for couples, such as Paris and Venice [10]. Lastly, an expansion pack is yet to be the newest one for The Sims 4 and by its brief description in the trailer, it may be focused on romance and could feature some new aspects of dating [29] [31], such as online dating on a dating website and on an app inspired by Tinder, quite like how there was a parody of the popular dating app in Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry called “Timber” [2] [17] [25]. Moreover, it is likely that the expansion pack will feature a new way to woohoo (that will hopefully not be boring, unlike like a blog of pixels covering two lovers just embracing one another in The Sims FreePlay [5]) [29] [31]. It is important for an announcement trailer like this to not be misleading, so let us stand by our predictions in preparation for being either pleasantly surprised or slightly disappointed.

I do not doubt that some of my fellow simmers are most excited for the forthcoming expansion pack and it would make sense if it will be saved for last if you think about it [29] [31]. Hopefully, it shall not try so hard to be like The Sims 4: Wedding Stories and have its own romantic essences outside of weddings [32]. [31]

In conclusion, if you happen to be a fellow simmer who is still nurturing the worlds in The Sims 4 in your own way, what moves will you make if you are interested in the two upcoming kits and expansion pack [29] [31]? I suppose one can make a new love interest for Don Lothario while another makes Mortimer and Bella Goth passionately woohoo in a way the upcoming expansion pack could introduce, resulting in their third child [8]. What could be next when it comes to proactivity flourishing in the gaming industry, despite many misfortunes [24]? A sequel to Princess Peach: Showtime featuring new powered-up costumes for Princess Peach [39] [40], such as Rock Star Peach striking a powerful melody from an electric guitar, just like Ninja Yumi in one of those Flash games on the Cartoon Network website back in the day [11]? As much as I still endorse the Sims 2 era to this day and as blessed as I am to play The Sims 2: Super Collection on a rose gold MacBook Air for old times’ sake [1], I hold no bias against The Sims 4 and I shall look forward to what two new kits and a new expansion pack bring on [29] [31] [35]. What Would Be Another Ideal Date For Gamers?

Calling all gamers in love over a week before Valentine’s Day! Last year, we discussed what could be an ideal date for two players in a special relationship, such as raiding a tomb for treasure as archaeologists and being a plumber and a princess in a zany super world [119] [120]. Video games may not be real, but there is nothing wrong with being imaginative and putting yourself in a playable protagonist’s shoes, although not all of them wear shoes. Aside from the appetite for two caterpillar cakes named “Collin” and “Connie” for the season of love and affection [54], how about we give each nerdy couple some ideas for another Valentine’s date [48]? The madness had already started with Deadpool back in January. Besides, he took over the promotional again a week before he became a downloadable fighter for Marvel’s Midnight Suns [42] [43] [44] [45] [46]. A new idea for an ideal date for a gamer could be staring blankly as if your valentine was a vampire whose skin sparkles in sunlight [1]. But then again, maybe not. Arguably much better ideas can make up for those awkwardly dramatic breakups in Club Penguin back in the day [26], along with how cart surfing would not be a recommendable activity in real life to this day [20] [36]. 

I have come a long way since I played the first ten of the educational CD Rom game series known as “Learning Land” when I was a child [69] [78] [79]. Now I know what my name sounds like [28]. I also wonder if there will be some new colours for the Nintendo Switch Lite and the Playdate later this year [108]. But for this week, let us be hopelessly romantic and nerdy a few days after the return of the deep pink Xbox Series X/S controller [121]. [58]

Last time, we discussed inspiration from the Super Mario franchise first [119] [120]. Why not gain some ideas from The Legend of Zelda this year? Just call me “Little Miss Valentine” if you are a Nintendo nerd [50] [103]! Link, the hero of Hyrule is, without a doubt, the ideal significant other for Princess Zelda [104]. Surely, whether the relationship is canon or not depends on what timeline each instalment follows, but it is still iconic to many Nintendo nerds and seemingly a lot more developed than the relationship between Mario and Princess Peach in the Super Mario franchise [73] [104] [119] [120]. But still, whether your OTP (One True Pairing) is canon or not, please do not be toxic with your devotion to it [108]. Who knows how further the relationship between Link and Zelda will bloom in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild that shall be released this May [60]? If you and your valentine are fans of the Legend of Zeldafranchise, one of you could be the brave Link and the other can be Zelda or any of her alter-egos [122]. How about a kiss from your valentine for luck [7]?

My reader, these dating ideas could be what imaginative gamers strive for [7]. [74]

Have you dated about eight people throughout your love life? Feel free to fight foes with your current partner if you are a fan of Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World [33] [100] [101], whether you have read the graphic novels or watched the live-action film based on them [71] [72]. I remember playing the original version of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game for the PlayStation 3 with a dear old friend of mine who recommend the film it is loosely based on back in the early 2010s [33] [100]. Over ten years later, I was delighted to play Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game – Complete Edition for the Nintendo Switch with my fiancé [59] [101]. He and I like to play as Scott Pilgrim and Ramona Flowers, which is convenient as they are in a relationship throughout the plot [72] [100] [101]. The sprite of Romana with blue hair vaguely reminds me of the Blue Amy Rose trend from 2018 [29]. Moreover, her sprite with pink hair and her mallet-wielding make her quite comparable to Amy [17]. Do the terms “Speedy the Porcupine” and “Never-ending Fantasy” sound familiar to you [100] [101]? When it is your current sweetheart versus the world, you can take your rage out on all seven of your exes [33] [72]. 

To an extent, my old creepypasta fan phase must have been jealous of my current hazbean phase for a few years [52] [53]. Consider Sonic.EXE an evil ex of mine [39] [63]. Aside from that, Deadpool might as well use both the Power of Love AND the Power of Self-Respect since he is skilled in wielding two katanas [15] [16] [71] [72]. [33]

 Heart Star is an adorable puzzle game about a blue-haired boy who can summon blue star blocks and a pink-haired girl who can activate pink heart blocks [2] [3] [4]. The design of the girl in the pink hearts realm vaguely reminds me of Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time who kissed Marceline the Vampire Queen in the series finale [5] [12] [70] [73]. Since the boy in the blue stars realm has hair quite like Mordecai’s feathers in Regular Show, could he have once pretended that an aeroplane was like a shooting star for the sake of making a wish [47] [114] [115]? I fondly remember being infatuated with the game’s concept and how engaging the challenging puzzles are as I played the remastered version on my iPad after my second university semester and during the Christmas break back in 2018 [4]. It is possible that the two friends in parallel worlds are crushing on one another. Whether you and your significant other follow the “blue for a boy and pink for a girl” trope or not [99], you can reunite and rejoice on a platform, colliding two worlds together into one world of a specific colour and symbol [4]. Just watch out for the spikes!

Stardew Valley is, without a doubt, a masterpiece for the casual crowd inspired by the Harvest Moon series [13]. Not only can your avatar run a farm and do a variety of activates, such as fishing, but he, she or they can also find true love and get married, like in The Sims and Tomodachi Life [57] [90]. Speaking of marriage, could a guest attend your wedding in a Kirby tuxedo [37]? The list of bachelors with the potential to be a husband includes:

Which marriage candidates do you and your valentine relate to the most? Sadly, just like in The Sims 2 and Tomodachi Life [57] [90], a couple could eventually break up or get divorced [75] [98]. It is speculated that Haunted Chocolatier, the forthcoming successor to Stardew Valley with a different setting will feature marriage to an NPC, along with having a child with them or suddenly getting a divorce [30]. This, along with many other features from Stardew Valley would make it an exceptional successor [13]. Which bachelor or bachelorette in the game could you strongly relate to when the game is released [75]?

Here is another one for the simmers in love. The Sims FreePlay is still going strong with new events, even after its tenth anniversary in late 2021 and how it has the most boring woohoo in the history of The Sims [25] [87] [88]. Speaking of woohoo, I would strongly recommend not doing public woohoo, but at least the new Simtimates Kit for The Sims 4 would enhance a sim’s woohoo life and the new Bathroom Clutter Kit would make getting ready for a date seem a little more organised with less clutter [84] [85]. My warning for the simmers regarding two-timing in my previous article on ideal dating for gamers only applied to those who are not in a polygamous or polyandrous relationship [118] [119]. Speaking of polygamy and polyandry, if a simmer feels as lusty as Don Lothario, who will be their Nina and who will be their Dina [8]? I think I will stick to the lifestyle of two sims based on me and my fiancé. Will Project Rene lead to The Sims 5 finally coming true like a dream [93]? Speaking of dreams, could there be a first dream date for Mortimer and Bella as college students in a university-themed expansion pack for The Sims 5 since their college lives have never been established before [118] [119]?

Who is your Bella to your Mortimer? I remember making my sim become romantically interested in Tristan Legend in the Nintendo DS version of The Sims 2 [23] [94]. I still stand by how a university-themed expansion pack for The Sims 5 should introduce the two as college students, which is likely to be the time they got engaged [117] [118]. Alternatively, they could be reintroduced in the base game with their two children and perhaps have a third child named “Mathilde” [91]. In addition, Cecilia Goth from the Nintendo DS version of The Sims 3 can make a return as a child, being Alexander’s best friend [24] [89]. And as a simmer, I wholeheartedly wish The Sims a happy 23^rd anniversary [86]! [92]

Any other suggestions? You can take your crush to the prom at a high school attended by monsters [58]. As previously mentioned last year, you can race against one another in your favourite karts in any of the Mario Kart games [105] [106]. Can you imagine if the idea of Rayman and Ly the Fairy being in a romantic relationship was not presumably scrapped for the outcome of Rayman 2: The Great Escape [66]? Perhaps one of you can be the fairy and the other can be a robotic pirate’s nemesis as you two spend some time on a ship [67]. For those who still tune into Tomodachi Life to this day, you may recall the list of ways to help a Mii try to win the heart of their crush, even though one or two love rivals may butt in and decrease the chance of acceptance from the crush [57]. As for romantic relationships in the game in general, they might as well bloom in a romantic ballad sung by two soulmates on stage. Once again, your date of destiny depends on the games you two adore best [48] [104] [119] [120]. How about some white pearl strawberries dipped in strawberry white chocolate as you two lovebirds snap back into reality [38] [80]?

There probably was not enough room in Rayman 2’s plot for a decently established romance between Rayman and Ly [66] [67]. At least there is always enough room in real life for love, including same-sex marriage, which ought to be featured in a sequel to Tomodachi Life for the Nintendo Switch [61]. As a fellow gay rights supporter, my fiancé is always sure to make me feel loved in a hateful world as we are as inseparable as Cleo De Nile and Deuce Gorgon from the Monster High franchise [27] [49] [65] [68] [77] [102]. [66]

Unfortunately, not every gamer has feelings for Valentine’s Day [40]. During my previous article on ideal dates for gamers, I had no intention to make any single gamers feel left out of the fun like a Wii Remote out of battery power or a sim who broke up with a former partner, nor shove the commercialistic aspect of celebrating Valentine’s Day in their faces [22] [83] [119] [120]. If you are single, you can always embrace your independence during solo gameplay, just like in Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider and Samus Aran in the Metroid series [51]. And yes, there is always…loving yourself if you know what Deadpool means [15] [82]. It is cool to not show that you are overly desperate for a partner [95], especially when it comes to understanding boundaries on social media [21], but that should not evolve into misandristic or misogynistic behaviour. After all, neither should be allowed when it comes to ensuring that a gameplay experience is free from toxicity. Whether you have a valentine this year or not, you can always treat yourself to some heart-shaped chocolate or a Valentine’s Day-themed doughnut during the gameplay [54]. Moreover, you can still be kind to your fellow gamers and wish them the best if they happen to be in a relationship, even after Valentine’s Day.

Even if you are single, you can root for your OTPs in your favourite franchises and even make some Valentine’s Day-themed fanart of them if you are an artist [11], but again, do not go overboard with supporting them by being a fanbrat [107]. The same activity can apply to establishing canon romances between your own fictional characters [96] [97]. Too bad Red seems to have left his female counterpart for The Lamb [6] [14]. [6]

I will be sure to make the most of another Valentine’s Day with my fiancé who is a big video game collector. In his new yellow suit with a wizard hat and a garlic necklace [41], Deadpool might as well go on a hot date after he crashed Cinderella’s latest ball on Friday the 13^th [109], which could lead some of her demonic minions sneaking into the abbey solely for the new food truck [42]. Speaking of antiheroes being chaotic, I am sure that I could be charmed by a new episode of the second season of Helluva Boss after the LVL UP EXPO events in Las Vegas [11] [32] [35], despite the show’s decline in viewership [31]. It does not take a love meter to find true love, even though some fans of Betty Boop got a thrill out of one back in 2011 [9]. As for your ideal gaming-related date, perhaps some cosplaying can be involved, depending on the date of destiny you choose to play [56]. It is entirely up to you. Whether you have a disability or not, you deserve to be in a happy and healthy relationship or cherish the independence of being single and be able to achieve what you want to achieve [81]. Have a nerdy Valentine’s Day [34] [76]! And again, please roleplay responsibly [118] [119].
