The Playable Promotions Of Deadpool & Wolverine (Feat. Deadpool)

This analysis is also aimed at mature audiences for its crude humour, mild and moderate sexual references and mild profanity. Reader discretion is advised. 

Summer 2024 is the time of hailing Deadpool and Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the newly released film they have finally debuted dynamically together [11]. Aside from two suggestively designed Xbox Series X|S controllers based on Deadpool and Wolverine’s rears, there are a few other gaming-related promotions. Aside from how I personally believe that Deadpool & Wolverine is going to be one of the highest-grossing films of 2024 besides Inside Out 2 as its goal to make thirty-five-million dollars from the Thursday night preview showings is a sign of that theory [12] [36] [72], I see some good from each of these following promotions for players. After being creeped out by the 20th anniversary celebration of the Salad Fingersseries [19], being cuted out by a new wave of mini Helluva Boss plushies [32], seeing a sign of Shadow the Hedgehog’s side of the story in the forthcoming remaster of Sonic Generations and tittering at Jack Sparrow being chased in a cinematic short [21] [69], we shall discuss the promotional events in Marvel Snap, Marvel Strike Force and Marvel Future Fights [46] [47] [48] [56] [60] [61 along with their appearances near the fourth season of the fifth chapter of Fortnite: Battle Royale [26] [34].
"The Deadster is back on the big screen, y’all [11] [40] [43]! During another shoulder massage session to help Laura relax after the hard work she put into her fifth article on marketing antics of my new movie [76], I whispered to her seductively in my Ryan Reynolds voice, “Laurapop, the article we did is awesome, but we missed the opportunity to mention my domination and diner in Marvel Snap [50] [56] [57] [59], my pool party in Marvel Strike Force and the update in Marvel Future Fights [46] [47] [48] [61]. Don’t get stressed out over it though, my candy crumpet. We can discuss them in a separate article for your gaming-related blog. I’m proud of you, Princess.”. What? I gotta keep her motivated without overworking her, don’t I? I let her take a break,so that she can do a pretty cool manicure inspired by Logan and I before getting her ass back to work.” [60]
“And c’mon, reader! Laura’s not THAT obsessed with me if you know what I mean [8] [68]! I’m still a coping mechanism for her and if you have a problem with that, screw you and damn you! Oh wait. We gotta remain professional when it comes to video game journalism. Not that it has always been with notorious examples of infamy like “Too much water!” and hit pieces that were pretty uncalled for [39], but please understand that my little Laurapop works hard and tries her best! Trust me, I know from experience in working with her [75] [78] [83], yet I still need to discipline her as she still tends to tease me about my “tastes” in green suits and music [9]. Currently, I’m gonna have to discipline those who spill spoilers without making disclaimers first [41]. And now, keep scrolling for all the information she provides!“ [43]
I am quite starstruck at the animated promo for the Deadpool Domination event in Marvel Snap [56]. It is bewildering to see a half-naked Wade furiously questioning the whereabouts of his trailer and attacking the television quite ballistically as another Wade in a noticeably different art style hosts what appears to be an advertisement in his own cooking show. At least Wolverine showed up to tell the half-naked Wade to calm down. Of course, this is not the first time I have been amazed at the manly mutate in an excellently animated Marvel Snap promo starring Deadpool as the drastically changing art styles of him, Ghost Rider and Squirrel Girl within the announcement of the game becoming available on PC nearly a year ago [58] [82]. Moreover, the Deadpool in a similar style to the animation in Cuphead makes a cameo in the Deadpool Domination promo as a bachelor in a dating show [56] [58] [82]. And who can forget Jeffy’s adorable cameo too? Kudos to ItsGuestGaming for explaining how to play Deadpool’s Diner, a new mode that is only around for a limited time as it will be concluded on the 6th of August but is still another interesting way to help promote the frenemies’ debut in the MCU [11] [49] [54] [55].
“Laura’s probably thinking, ‘Wow. And I thought Bruce Banner had anger issues…[62]”. Well, at least my mask didn’t turn green when I was being animated [9] [56]. Aaaaaand I just contradicted myself as the Hulk on Twitter…or X if you consider it like a goddamn, no good, dirty ex-spouse [76].” [56]
“Shout-out to Miss Gwenpool for being featured as well [56]! Look at all the neat new card variants [51] [52] [53]! Copycat looks fine on hers [60]! How many bubs did you get if you have participated in the temporary mode yet [57] [59], reader? Be sure to tune into the Deadpool League event and Jeff Week throughout this August [49]!” [50] [60]
Deadpool’s MCU suit and Wolverine’s MCU suit have appeared in a new update for Marvel Future Fights that was showcased in a livestream a few days ago [45] [48]. The frenemies are classified as Tier-4 warriors [47]. Since Cassandra Nova is one of the antagonists of Deadpool & Wolverine, she is a Tier-3 villain in the update [46] [47]. Oh my! Another version of Wade from another universe with a face and hair as elegantly manly as Thor’s is known as “Handsomepool” and kind of brings on a Handsome Squidward vibe if you love SpongeBob SquarePants memes [38] [48]. And let us not forget about Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Jubilee and Dazzler as participants [47], yet I believe that Warhead’s is the most valid as she has been a supporting role in the Deadpool films since the first one [9] [10]. I recall the update that promoted the merc’s Nerdy 30th back in 2021 which featured him in a black mafia suit and its white counterpart [75] [78]. This year, an update for the game is a pretty swell way to promote the merc’s well-served threequel as he has been a competent fighter in Marvel games since his appearance in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance back in 2005 [29].
“Don’t even think about it hitting on the writer of the article you have been mentioned in, Handsomepool! She’s MY little Laurapop! Go and find your own in your own universe! Oh, alright! We can share her. I’ll let you kiss her hand…while Ryan happily sits on my face [37].” [48]
The masked rascal has a pool party with some of his co-stars, including his daughter Deathpool in Marvel Strike Force that, unfortunately, gets crashed by Juggernaut [61]. Another guest at the crashed pool party is Pandapool who treats himself to an ice cream resembling the main merc’s mask. And yes, it is not another gaming-related promotion for Deadpool & Wolverine without Logan [11]. Just like in Marvel Future Fights, Handsomepool is a brand-new fighter who (obviously) has a similar skill in wielding katanas [48] [61]. The promo for an update for Marvel Strike Force promoting Deadpool & Wolverine is quite a rehash of the advert for the game that also promoted the Super Duper cut of Deadpool 2 [1] [61]. Perhaps if there were to be a video game (possibly developed by Insomniac Games) starring Deadpool for the PlayStation 5 with a much more effective plot after the success of Wolverine’s upcoming game [32] [81], Deathpool could be a new supporting character and gain some depth beyond being a fighter in Marvel Strike Force as she aims to follow her father’s footsteps [83]. As for Handsomepool, he will probably tell a version of me from his own universe to call him [48] [61].
“Yeah, yeah. Go ahead and accuse me of being jealous of Handsomepool [48]. As for Pandapool, he’s pretty cool [61]. I’m still proud of my deathly baby girl on the left [83]! She’s not gonna believe that I finally met THE Mario from those video games and Wolverine slayed some oversized turtle’s ass [16]!” [61]
Shortly after our newly bloomed infatuations with Marvel’s merc with a mouth in a new Tim Hortons advert and two new popcorn buckets promoting his new movie co-starring his frenemy at Cinemark [66] [76], a few signs of him wreaking havoc in the world of Fortnite for the second time popped up on its official Twitter/X account [23] [24] [25] [27]. A short clip of a specific location featured a voice that sounded a lot like Ryan Reynolds, much to my surprise and suspicion [23]. Two days later, the skins of the two healable antiheroes in a new style that looks cel-shaded and is referred to as “Pen & Ink” were revealed [26] [34] [67], which makes their returns to Fortnite: Battle Royale even fresher aside from them wearing their MCU suits [11]. Even though it is understandable to declare that Fortnite’s over-reliance on crossovers has affected its originality [21], I would still love to see Lara Croft, the beauty, brawn and brains of the Tomb Raider franchise appear in the world of Fortnite for the second time in her outfit from Rise of the Tomb Raider in the next chapter or two [70] [84]. In the meantime, a Fortnite fighter can also train with Lloyd from The LEGO Ninjago Movie in LEGO Islands if they have unlocked the Battle Area map with the revealed code as Wolverine remains his usual hard-nosed and brutal self in his third appearance [28] [71].
“I’m quite an artist [23], aren’t I? Wolvie and I can also be played as in Fortnite Festival and Rocket Racing [34]! I bet you can’t wait for our next round in Battle Royale [30]! Look how awesome we look as Youtooz figures and how cute we are as Funko POP! figures too [44] [86]! Hopefully, I won’t have to use a magazine as toilet paper this time…or will I [20]?” [23]

In conclusion, these four promotions are more proof of the marketing of Deadpool & Wolverine being the red and yellow equivalent of the ambitious marketing of Barbie: The Movie from last year [11] [50] [79]. I suspect that the possible appearances of Wade and Logan in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Call of Duty: Warzone 3.0 and Call of Duty Warzone Mobile that have been speculated to occur have been delayed to currently let our comrades focus more on certain stars of WWE making an appearance, most notably Rhea Ripley, especially for fans of WWE [2] [6] [77]. In the meantime, we can reflect on how spectacular the drone show dedicated to Deadpool & Wolverine at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con was and hail the new glittery Lady Deadpool Funko Pop! figure [41] [63]. Aside from how delighted I will be to see Deadpool & Wolverine with my fiancé after a four-year wait [76], I strongly believe that the manly mutate’s video game from 2013 and 2015 deserves a reboot that maintains its credibility in terms of gameplay and humour but provides the core reason why he is a jokester in the first place within a much more effective storyline sometime after the launch and reception of Wolverine’s upcoming game [32] [64] [78] [81]. Barbie Project Friendship – A Friendship-Filled Adventure For Younger Players Coming This Autumn

Last year, we were amazed at the appearance of Barbie’s iconic 1950s Chevrolet Corvette in Forza Horizon 5 and her super sweet special guest appearance in Candy Crush Saga [74]. This year, a video game starring Barbara Roberts from Malibu and Barbara Roberts from Brooklyn has been announced while those on the gritty and barbaric side of gaming either guide Lara Croft on her darkest journey yet or hunt her and three other survivors down in Dead By Daylight [14] [20] [47] [70] [71]. The history of Barbie games has been decisive with the negative receptions of the Barbie game for the Nintendo Entertainment System and Barbie: Explorer as quite notorious examples of infamy and fond memories of some of my fellow 2000s kids playing BarbieGirls.com, despite its notable issues [32] [34] [35] [55] [62], but it would be quite convenient of a lucky winner of the Barbie-themed Xbox Series S and its own Dreamhouse that were part of the amazingly ambitious marketing of Barbie: The Movie last year to pre-order a copy of the upcoming instalment for the Xbox Series X|S [74] [77]. After encountering Angel Dust and Velvette from Hazbin Hotel drawing their own portraits of the antiheroic radio demon known as “Alastor” and a gorilla looking disgruntled in a Sailor Moon costume [65] [76], let us discuss the full potential of Barbie Project Friendship [44] [45] [47].
C’mon, Barbies! Let’s go party [1]! [44] [45]

The objective of the game is to restore the fun of a community centre under a sky so blue in Malibu [44] [45]. Yes, a Miley Cyrus reference was intended [19]. As you can tell, the game’s graphics are based on the animation style in Barbie: It Takes Two, Barbie: Epic Road Trip, Barbie: Big City, Big Dreams and Barbie: Life In The City [4] [5] [7] [8]. Looking at the way any of the two Barbies construct or sort out a certain thing, such as a load of boxes to unpack and a sandcastle at the beach to build makes me suspect that the control method will be like the efforts to bake sweets as Patisserie Peach in Princess Peach Showtime!; all about the timing [37]. There will be supporting characters to encounter in activities, including Ken, Teresa and Nikki that will be explained a little later [47]. The simplicity and vibrance in terms of graphics and the open-world aspect of the main gameplay remind me of My Little Pony: A Maretime Bay Adventure [3]. Well, both games are developed by Outright Games [47]. The plot may sound quite simplistic with not much of a conflict but since the game is supported by the screenwriter and producer Ann Austen [12] [47], it may still have some of that 3+ charm blooming like a garden of pink tulips [44] [45].
I have a feeling that the open-world aspect of Barbie Project Friendship will not be as big as wreaking havoc in Grand Theft Auto V but can still be as joyfully casual as gathering essences in the Wii version of MySims [26] [44] [45] [53]. [44] [45]
If Club Penguin Island was still around [23] [64], there probably would be a snowcastle building activity for members to try out. [44] [45]

There appears to be a small variety of different gameplay styles to make the experience fairly ambitious, including:
  •       A rhythm game that consists of Fortnite Festival vibes as the Barbies rock out on their guitars [31] [44] [45]
  •       A tennis minigame that vaguely reminds me of Swing Kings, a minigame from Mario Party 8 [36] [45] [45]
  •       A minigame consisting of the objective to power up a bicycle [44] [45]
  •       A skateboarding game that seems influenced by the Tony Hawk games [22] [44] [45]
It sounds like other minigames will include making the best ice cream with Ken and perhaps an arcade game tournament hosted by Teresa [47]. Some of these minigames seem to require the cooperation between two players or just one player with a CPU, thus providing some multiplayer mode value [44] [45]. It is understandable why a fellow gamer would prefer to continue the sole focus on the engaging platforming pizzazz inspired by the Kirby series in Gimmick! 2 though [16] [17] [40], considering how much time and effort it would take to ensure the best outcome of each minigame in a party game and chances are that some will be less effective than others [36] [39]. Nonetheless, I can see that there is a lot of trust put into the production of the game, reflecting on the previous experiences in developing titles such as Rainbow High: Runaway Rush and LOL Surprise! B.B.s Born To Travel at Outright Games [46] [49].
This minigame seems to be an example of teamwork a player can try with another player or a CPU [44] [45]. Trust me, I suspect from experience as I recall playing those pair minigames in Wii Party with my sister back in the day [39]. [44] [45]
I also sense some Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi vibes here [54]. [44] [45]

What other features will be in Barbie Project Friendship? There are outfits to unlock and let the Barbies wear [44] [45], including one that looks like an honourable tribute to the plastic starlet’s debut in 1959 [56]. Earning new outfits as part of a rewards system seems rather predictable [44] [45], but I cannot resist such customisation in a game as I love brawling with Princess Peach in her red dress inspired by Pauline and it is understandable why some tomb raiders would try to help the younger Ms. Croft survive in a new outfit based on her classic incarnation named the “Retro Fit” in Dead by Daylight [20] [25] [38] [57]. You can decorate rooms in what appears to be the dreamhouse [44] [45], quite like transforming certain aspects of the rooms of Laura and her family’s residence in Laura’s Happy Adventures [63]. I am already curious about a possible update for the game that will provide new features, much like the “Super Stylin’” update for Bratz: Flaunt your Fashion provided dresses from the Stylin’ Soiree to unlock and the options to take photographs at any of the three locations [43]. Why not welcome back Queen Amelia as part of a “Royal Welcome” update [6]? These customisation options in Barbie Project Friendship provide some element of creativity for creative young minds aside from the importance of establishing decent gameplay and chances are that a future update can elevate the experience to some extent [44] [45].
Several months after the game’s launch [44] [45] [47], perhaps there could be a DLC pack consisting of even more outfits, much like how there was a DLC pack for Bratz: Flaunt your Fashion based on the “Girls Nite Out” line from 2004 that was re-released in 2021 [15] [42]. [44] [45]
Perhaps an update or DLC pack can also provide some new interior decorating options, quite like a stuff pack for The Sims 2, The Sims 3 or The Sims 4 [27] [28] [68] [72]. However, it would not be necessary or it may not be satisfying to some of my fellow gamers as plenty of us recall the backlash against the Katy Perry’s Sweet Treats stuff pack for The Sims 3 [2] [30] [52] [60] [61] [72]. [44] [45]
The credibility of Barbie: The Exhibition has turned High Street Kensington into High Street Ken and the faintly noticeable hype for Barbie Project Friendship is on in honour of the plastic starlet’s 65th anniversary [13] [21] [33] [75]. Chances are that recommending Barbie: Project Friendship to a die-hard Call of Duty comrade would be like recommending a Nerf gun to Lara Croft or recommending a pizza with a pineapple topping to Angel Dust from Hazbin Hotel [18] [25] [29] [65] [66], but I suspect that it will simply be a decent casual experience primarily aimed at young girls, considering the competence of the casual game developments based on franchises aimed at children from Outright Games [46] [48]. It seems like a fanmade project titled “Barbie Girls Rewritten” that is basically a recreation of BarbieGirls.com has been postponed and in need of help for a while [9] [10] [11] [35], but at least Barbie Project Friendship will be launched for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S and Steam on the 25th of October [44] [45] [47], the same day as the launch of Sonic X Shadow Generations, the anticipated remaster of Sonic Generations featuring Shadow the Hedgehog’s side of the story [58] [59]. Feel free to stick to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Unleashed if you or any young relatives personally consider Barbie Project Friendship too “girly” [50], but ultimately, one’s interests are not based on their gender and you can be a fan of any franchise you love.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Unleashed will come out a week before Barbie Project Friendship and Sonic x Shadow Generations [44] [45] [50] [58] [59], making 2024 an even more ambitious year for Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo aside from their participation in three modes of Fortnite and the launch of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate [41] [73]. [50]
Could there be a blue Barbie Dreamhouse newly built near a lovely flower garden in Minecraft if you happen to be a Minecrafter who also adores Mattel’s plastic starlet in the meantime [51]? On second thought, I am pretty sure that Merryweather’s argumentative magic could be involved [24] [69]… [44] [45]
